Presents!!!

Raleigh had a wonderful first Christmas.  She did great with opening presents, but quickly got distracted with the really cool wrapping paper.  We opened presents in shifts throughout the day to help our crazy child focus.  Here are some fun pics:

Who knew tissue paper could be so fun?!

Sick...Maybe?

We now have the Dr. on speed dial because Raleigh has been sick so much.  For about a week she hadn't been acting like herself.  We made an appointment to see our new BFF.  When we were in the Doctor's office, things changed...drastically!  She was taken over with a surge of hyperness!  It was crazy Raleigh on the Dr.'s table!  You don't want your child to be sick, but when your at the Dr.'s office, you at least want them to show their symptoms so that they can get well and you don't look like a hypochondriac.  She ended up having an ear infection, but check out the video that Clint took.

Our Little Cow

Recently, Raleigh has decided that sitting down to drink a bottle is just "crazy talk."  She has decided that standing is the much better option.  Once her mind was set on this option, there really is no sense in trying to convince her otherwise. The other day we were feeding her standing up and noticed that she looked like a little cow!  Her clothes didn't help the situation, but we wanted to introduce you to our little cow.

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Well, we survived through all of the crazy Christmas services and finally had a day to spend with just our family.  Since this is Raleigh's first Christmas, we decided to start making some Ivy family traditions of our own.  One of the traditions we started was making a birthday cake for Jesus (this year it was cupcakes!) and singing happy birthday.  I know to some it may sound silly, but we really want our kids to remember why we celebrate Christmas and what it is about.  Raleigh helped make the cupcakes and had a blast!!  Honestly, she could care less about what you are making as long as she can hold the wisk!  When it came time to eat cupcakes...that is when things got a little bit tricky.  She grabbed a handful of icing and shook it everywhere!  Then she decided to let Titus in on the action.  As a result, he had icing all over him!!  Everybody in our house needed baths!  We had a great time and Raleigh enjoyed her first cupcake.  The other tradition we started was that everybody gets three Christmas presents...I know it doesn't seem like much, but if Jesus could handle only three, then so can we!  In the future we plan on doing other things also, but for our first Christmas, two traditions were enough!

Tastes pretty good!!!

She realized that Titus would follow her around and lick her hands because the smell of the icing was still on her hands.  She thought this was quite funny.

Sugar high!!
